Another image from last week's heron-stalking on my local beach. One of our WA State Ferries decided to photobomb this pic...
I spent almost a half-hour tonight stalking this heron, trying to get him lined up with Mount Rainier as the sun was setting, moving my tripod a foot at a time as he waded thru the water, hoping he wouldn't fly away. Finally got the shot just at the very end of the sunset light!
